"WWE Monday Night Raw" aired on Feb. 18 and The Rock celebrated his Elimination Chamber title match win. Here is a look at what went down on the latest episode of "Raw."
The show opened with John Cena coming to the ring and talking about his upcoming Wrestlemania match with The Rock. CM Punk came out and interrupted the promo and said Cena never beat him and doesn't deserve the title match. Cena proposed they fight, and if Cena loses he will give his title shot to Punk. CM Punk agreed and they will fight next week.
Backstage, Sheamus was talking about their loss last night to The Shield and Ryback was pacing. Ryback and Sheamus got in each other's faces about it and then Chris Jericho showed up and compared The Shield to the nWo and Nexus. Later tonight, the three men will fight The Shield.
The first match on the card saw Mark Henry fight Sin Cara. The match ended quickly with Henry squashing Sin Cara. After the match, Henry wouldn't stop the punishment until Great Khali came down for the save. Henry left and then made fun of Khali's dancing and said that is all he's good for.
In a rematch from last night's pay-per-view, Antonio Cesaro fought The Miz in a non-title match. Last night, Miz was disqualified for accidentally kicking Cesaro in the groin. Tonight's match was no DQ as a result. Cesaro brought in two chairs and a kendo stick and really punished Miz. However, after hitting a chair knee first and then getting his chin dropped on a chair, Miz locked on the figure four and Cesaro tapped out.
A pre-taped promo aired next from Jack Swagger and manager Zeb Colter who talked about their Tea Party styled platform.
Backstage, Daniel Bryan and Kane were arguing. Bryan said he was going to fight Jack Swagger tonight and didn't want Kane to come to the ring with him. Kane said he was going to fight someone as well and didn't want Bryan down there because he didn't like snakes. That brought in Randy Orton who took exception. He then said Kane wasn't a monster anymore but more of a Barney styled dinosaur.
Dolph Ziggler took on world champion Alberto Del Rio next in a non-title match. The two fought in a nice long match and Del Rio won with the cross arm breaker. After the match, Big E took out Del Rio and Ziggler tried to cash in the MITB case but Roberto Rodriguez stole it and ran away.
Next up, Tensai, Brodus Clay and Naomi took on Primo, Epico and Rosa Mendes. It was a complete squash match and the faces won.
Jack Swagger and Zeb Colter entered the ring next to give their state of the union address. They basically said that illegal immigrants have ruined the country and at Wrestlemania, Swagger will take the world title and bring honor back to America. That brought out Daniel Bryan for their match. The two fought a nice, lengthy match that Swagger ended up winning with the Patriot Lock.
Vickie Guerrero brought Paul Heyman to the ring next. She introduced Brad Maddox as her new assistant and then Vince McMahon came onto the Titan Tron. McMahon said that he was not going to fire Heyman but would be on Raw next week to fight Heyman.
The next match on "WWE Monday Night Raw" is the big six man match pitting The Shield against Chris Jericho, Sheamus and Ryback. Once again, The Shield shocks the WWE when the cleanly beat their opponents when they took out Ryback with a trip to the steel post and Dean Ambrose pinned Y2J.
Damien Sandow attacked Kofi Kingston before their match and beat him down until R-Truth made his WWE return and beat down Sandow to save his old tag team partner.
In the next match, Kane took on Randy Orton. While Team Hell No promised not to come out during each other's matches, and Kane kept up his side of the bargain earlier, Bryan came out and cost Kane the match when Orton hit him with the RKO while he was distracted by Bryan coming to the ring.
Finally, the Louisiana-Lafayette marching band introduced The Rock. The first thing Rock did was dump the Spinner Belt and introduce a title that no longer "looked like a toy." The belt actually looked pretty prestigious. Rock decided to tell everyone who he wanted to fight at Wrestlemania, but John Cena interrupted him. Before Cena could talk, CM Punk ran out and knocked out Cena with the old Spinner Belt. He then said he preferred Rock's new belt and then left as the show went off the air.
