The WWE has a tough road ahead of them tonight as they go head-to-head with the college football national championship football game. As a result, WWE.com reported on Jan. 6 that the WWE will promote an "old school" version of "WWE Monday Night Raw" to compete with the football game. Here is a look at the "WWE Monday Night Raw" preview and who might show up on the throwback show.
This is not the first time that "WWE Monday Night Raw" went old school, as the old school show in 2013 saw the return of The Undertaker and The New Age Outlaws. This year's show has already announced that the New Age Outlaws will be back tonight and Brad Maddox let slip on the show last week that "Nature Boy" Ric Flair would be at the event as well.
That doesn't mean that this week's show will be all about the legends, though. Daniel Bryan joined The Wyatt Family last week and was seen at recent house shows dressed in blue work pants and a baggy shirt, fitting right in with the Family. Will Bryan show off his new look tonight on "WWE Monday Night Raw" and how will his fans react?
Also on hand should be Randy Orton and John Cena. Neither man was at last week's "WWE Monday Night Raw" show when Stephanie McMahon booked a rematch for the WWE World Championship with no stipulations. How will they react?
Brock Lesnar also made his return last week and destroyed "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry. Will Henry be back for the show because Lesnar is rumored to be showing back up once again to make his intentions clear.
Finally, The Shield have been feuding with CM Punk and he has started to put doubts into the minds of the unit, causing them to question each other. Will The Shield continue to falter tonight?
"WWE Monday Night Raw" airs at 8 p.m. EST on USA.
