The WWE taped their weekly “WWE Main Event” television show on Dec. 17 and Mick Foley made a special appearance. Here is a look at the “WWE Main Event” spoilers and results from this week’s taping.

“WWE Main Event” took place in Austin, Texas, and the show opened with Mick Foley coming out to the ring dressed as Santa Claus. Foley has been dressing up as Santa Claus for many years in the WWE, so this was a welcome return for the WWE Hall of Fame legend.

Santa Foley starts to make it snow in the arena but is interrupted by the tag team of Ryback and Curtis Axel. They start to give Foley a hard time until The Miz comes out and takes up for Foley. This is just strange because it looked like they solidified Miz’s heel turn last week, and now he is playing a face again. Foley sets up a match between Miz and Axel for later on the show.

R-Truth and Xavier Woods beat 3MB in the first match and then Diva’s champion A.J. Lee beat Kaitlyn by submission with the Black Widow in the next match.

In the main event, The Miz, with Foley in his corner, took on Curtis Axel, with Ryback in his corner. Foley hit Ryback with Mr. Socko and Miz pinned Axel with the Skull Crushing Finale.

“WWE Main Event” airs on Wednesday nights at 8 p.m. EST on Ion.
