'WWE Main Event' spoilers: Ryback vs. Antonio Cesaro

The WWE pre-taped their Wednesday night WWE Main Event show on Jan. 22 and Ryback fought in the main event match. Here is a look at the results of the final Main Event broadcast before the Royal Rumble pay per view.

For the second week in a row, United States Champion Antonio Cesaro was in action in the main event match for the show. Last week, his match with Randy Orton went to a no-contest when The Shield attacked and took out Orton. It also gave Cesaro a chance to take out The Miz, continuing their feud.

On this week's show, Cesaro fought Ryback. The show opened with Ryback interviewed about the match. However, Ryback could not bear Cesaro, who once again found a way to escape without eating a pinfall. Ryback dominated the match and Cesaro ended up walking out for a count out loss.

This Sunday at the Royal Rumble pay per view, Antonio Cesaro defends his U.S. title against The Miz in the pre-show.

In between the two WWE Main Event matches, Big Show talked about his Royal Rumble match with Alberto Del Rio.

In the second match on the card, No. 1 tag team contenders, The Rhodes Scholars, fought Jimmy and Jay Uso. Damien Sandow and Cody Rhodes dominated most of the match and won in about 10 minutes. Rhodes Scholars fight Team Hell No for the tag team belts at the Royal Rumble.

WWE Main Event airs Wednesday nights at 8 p.m. EST on Ion.
