The WWE pre-recorded their "WWE Main Event" television show on Sept. 10, the final one before this weekend's "Night of Champions" pay-per-view. Here is a look at the "WWE Main Event" spoilers for this week's show.
The show, which takes place from Ottawa in Canada, opened with the main event match of former U.S. champion Antonio Cesaro taking on former Intercontinental champion Kofi Kingston.
Kingston won what was described as a long, very good, match.
Next up was a tag team match, foreshadowing the tag team gauntlet match at "Night of Champions." The winner of that match will get a title shot on the PPV, and this match saw The Prime Time Players battle the 3MB combination of Heath Slater and Jinder Mahal. Tons of Funk were on commentary.
The Prime Time Players won the match, when Titus Young pinned Jinder Mahal. Also involved in the gauntlet on Sunday are The Usos and The Real Americans.
In the third, and final, match from the pre-taping, Big E Langston returned and beat R-Truth with the Big Ending.
"WWE Main Event" airs on Wednesday nights at 8 p.m. on Ion.
