According to a March 5 post from Bleacher Report, Daniel Bryan continued his push toward Wrestlemania XXX by defeating Kane during the WWE Main Event episode filmed March 4 at Joe Louis Arena in Detroit, Mich.
Bryan def. Kane
Kane came close to pulling out the victory, as he held Bryan up for an epic chokeslam to finish the bout.
However, Bryan clawed his way out of it and managed to roll Kane up for the win. Bryan continues to gain popularity, so there was no way the WWE was going to script him to lose on a televised WWE Main Event broadcast.
The "Yes! Movement" was in full effect in Detroit for WWE Main Event.
Nikki Bella def. Alicia Fox
Earlier on the card, Nikki Bella defeated Alicia Fox in a fun, exciting divas bout.
Aksana, who was ringside to provide support for Fox, tried to interfere with the bout, but Brie Bella would have none of it.
Brie was on hand to lend some ringside help to her sister, Nikki. Kicking out of a pinfall attempt, Bella managed to get back on her feet and performed her signature torture rack backbreaker to secure the victory.
The Usos def. Los Matadores
In other matters, The Usos defeated Los Matadores and El Torito to retain their tag-team championship belts.
The Usos had won the belts one day earlier with a victory over The New Age Outlaws, and they are expected to have a nice, long reign as title holders.
With that said, it wasn't much of a surprise that the WWE scripted The Usos to win this bout.
The Usos were scheduled to defend their titles in a rematch against the New Age Outlaws, but Road Dogg walked out to the ring and claimed that he was too injured to fight that night.
When Road Dogg is healthy, it's likely they'll get a shot at a rematch with The Usos. That bout could possibly happen at Wrestlemania XXX.
