According to a Feb. 5 report from WWE.com, the results are in from the WWE Main Event card that went down on Feb. 5 in Des Moines, Iowa.

Big E Langston, a University of Iowa alum and hometown favorite in Des Moines, stole the show with a solid main event performance against Curtis Axel.

Langston's overwhelming strength was apparent from the start of the bout, as he threw Axel around like a rag doll, before ultimately securing the pin.

With the victory, Langston retained his Intercontinental Championship Belt. Langston has become a true fan favorite over the past few months, so it will be interesting to see how the WWE opts to use him in the weeks leading up to Wrestlemania XXX.

Earlier on the WWE Main Event card, Alberto Del Rio paved his way to Wrestlemania XXX by defeating Zack Ryder.

Del Rio has three victories in the past three weeks, so it's clear that the WWE is setting him up nicely for a Wrestlemania bout against Batista.

Del Rio is unlikely to beat Batista at Wrestlemania XXX, but the WWE is giving him a nice push in the weeks leading up to the event.

The Feb. 5 WWE Main Event kicked off with a bout between The Miz and Fandango.

After an early feeling out process, The Miz secured the victory with a Figure-Four Leg Lock.

Santino Marella and Emma did commentary for the bout, just one day after Fandango's partner, Summer Rae, was defeated by the fast-rising phenom in a dance competition.

It would appear to the WWE Universe that Marella and Emma are now paired together, since they were side-by-side two nights in a row.

Here's a look at the full WWE Main Event results:

  • Big E Langston def. Curtis Axel
  • The Miz def. Fandango
  • Alberto Del Rio def. Zack Ryder
