WWE Main Event: Big E Langston defeats Drew McIntyre

According to a Feb. 12 report from, plenty of exciting WWE action went down this week at the Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario, Calif.

The promotion held a taping of its weekly WWE Main Event show and there were several exciting battles on the show.

In the opening bout of the evening, the WWE continued its recent push of Alexander Rusev by scripting him to beat Dolph Ziggler.

Rusev, who made his WWE debut at the 2014 WWE Royal Rumble, continued to impress by pinning the former WWE title contender.

Ziggler was once a fast-rising superstar, but lately the WWE has been using him as a bit of a gatekeeper to push other newcomers over the top.

Opening the WWE Main Event televised card, The Wyatt Family continued their meteoric rise by defeating the tag-team of Los Matadores, El Torito and Sin Cara via pinfall.

Bray Wyatt finished off the bout by delivering his signature Sister Abigail move on Sin Casa, before pinning him.

The Wyatt Family battles The Shield at the upcoming "Elimination Chamber" pay-per-view event, and the WWE has been doing their part to hype both groups by having them win big at recent shows.

Later on the WWE Main Event card that went down this week in California, Natalya defeated Aksana with a sharpshooter.

The story of this week's WWE Main Event was Big E Langston's majestic win over Drew McIntyre.

Langston survived a boot to the face and a devastating clothesline midway through the bout, to retain his WWE Intercontinental Championship Title Belt.

McIntyre received stitches after the bout because he went at it so hard with Langston.
