WWE taped this week’s editions of Main Event and Smackdown last night in San Diego, California. Main Event airs tonight on ION Network while Smackdown airs Friday night on SyFy. Thanks to Chris Z. for help with the results.
MAIN EVENT
-Miz TV opens the show with Ryback as the guest. United States Champion Antonio Cesaro comes out and interrupts, setting up Cesaro vs. Ryback.
-Ryback defeats United States Champion Antonio Cesaro via count out when Cesaro bails. He attacked Miz (who was commentary) on his way into the crowd.
-Tensai defeats Titus O’Neil via pin fall. Darren Young tried to interfere but was stopped by Brodus Clay.
* Miz TV opens up this week’s episode. The Miz‘s guest is Ryback. Ryback begins to speak about his match against Antonio Cesaro last week, but is soon interrupted by Cesaro, setting up a rematch.
SMACKDOWN
- Sheamus, Randy Orton, Dolph Ziggler, Tag Team Champion Kane, Tag Team Champion Daniel Bryan, and The Great Khali are in the ring to start the show with Booker T in the ring. Booker announces that these six men will compete at the 2013 Elimination Chamber with the winner getting a World Heavyweight Championship match at Wrestle Mania 29. Jack Swagger returns and demands to be in the match at EC. Ziggler then says he wants out since he has the Money in the Bank briefcase. Booker excuses Ziggler and says Swagger will have to work for the spot.
-Rey Mysterio and Sin Cara defeat Tag Team Champions Kane and Daniel Bryan via pin fall in a non-title match.
-The Great Khali defeats Jinder Mahal via pin fall.
-Backstage, Teddy Long tells Booker T it was his idea to bring back Jack Swagger. After Damien Sandow and Cody Rhodes interrupt Booker and Long, Booker puts Sandow in a match with Sheamus.
-Sheamus battles Damien Sandow to a no contest when Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose la out Sheamus.
-Randy Orton defeats Intercontinental Champion Wade Barrett via pin fall in a non-title match.
-Backstage, Wade Barrett is asked about his loss to Bo Dallas on Raw. Dallas walks by and is jumped by Barrett.
-Jack Swagger defeats Kofi Kingston via submission.
-Big Show arrives in a bus to the arena. World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio tries to attack him with a baseball bat. Show eventually flees in a car parked nearby.
-World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio defeats Dolph Ziggler via submission after Big E Langston and AJ were ejected from ringside. After the match, Big Show appears with Ricardo Rodriguez backstage. Show lays out Rodriguez to end the show.
