According to a Jan. 30 report from The Morning Call, WWE legend Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka is under investigation for his mistress' mysterious death in 1983.

Snuka's mistress died under strange circumstances in Lehigh Valley over 30 years ago, and Lehigh County District Attorney Jim Martin announced this week that a grand jury will investigate the mysterious death.

On May 10, 1983, 23-year-old Brooklyn native Nancy Argentino, who was then Snuka's girlfriend, was found badly injured at George Washington Motor Lodge in Lehigh Valley.

The death was ruled a homicide, but no one was ever arrested for it.

31 years later, the death will be reviewed before a grand jury because a previous Morning Call story brought new facts to light regarding the case.

"Praise God that maybe justice will be done," Louise Argentino-Upham, Nancy's younger sister, said of the case.

Martin did not reveal if there is any new evidence, but he did state its important the case gets another look.

"I think it's important to have a grand jury take a look at it and see what they think," Martin said.

Snuka is now 70 years old, but his ex-girlfriend's family still has not forgiven him for what they believe he did.

"I'm kind of in, like, total shock," said Lorraine Salome of New York, Nancy's older sister. "This is something that should have happened 30-some-odd years ago. But at least it's happening now."

It may still take several months before all the facts come out about Snuka's case. In the meantime, pro wrestling fans will sit back and see how the case plays out in the public eye.
