The WWE Hell in a Cell 2013 matches and predictions are looking interesting as the official card will be played out for the pro wrestling world this coming Sunday. Among those who will be competing are Daniel Bryan, Randy Orton, CM Punk, Ryback, Alberto Del Rio and John Cena. Who will be the big winners in the 2013 WWE Hell in a Cell results this Sunday?
According to an Oct. 21 report from ProWrestling.net, two brand new matches were announced as of Monday for the pay-per-view, which now features a total of six matches. One of the newest matches will be a Triple Threat match for the WWE tag team championship belts, with Cody Rhodes and Goldust defending their titles against The Usos as well as Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns of The Shield. The other new match added on Monday features Intercontinental Champion Curtis Axel defending his title against Big E Langston. The match will appear on the Hell in a Cell live stream online kickoff show starting at 7:30 p.m. on the WWE's YouTube, Facebook or website.
These two matches will join three more championship matches and at least one "grudge match" on the card. CM Punk will face Ryback and Paul Heyman in a handicap Hell in a Cell match, while Daniel Bryan takes on Randy Orton inside Hell in a Cell with the WWE title on the line for the winner. Shawn Michaels will be special guest referee for the match, which could also see Big Show get involved somehow. A.J. Lee will defend her WWE Divas title against challenger Brie Bella. Add to that the return of John Cena as he takes on Alberto Del Rio for the World Heavyweight Championship.
As for Hell in a Cell predictions, several matches seem like they could multiple ways. Will Daniel Bryan or Randy Orton emerge as the new champion on Sunday? It seems like there is potential for a "screw job" with Shawn Michaels seeming to play the good guy role up until the event, yet he is a longtime friend of Triple H, who has had his issues with Daniel Bryan. Big Show running around on the loose makes him a potential distraction, or cause for yet another non-finish.
What about John Cena, will he return and immediately capture a WWE championship? Odds are on the former WWE champion to win the World Heavyweight title upon his return from injury, surgery and rehabilitation. However, the fact he is returning from an elbow/arm injury could set him up for the cross armbar submission via Del Rio. It could also set up a prime opportunity for a briefcase cash in from Damien Sandow.
It doesn't seem likely that the new tag team champions will drop the titles this Sunday, as there's been rumors that Goldust will turn heel in the future and feud with his brother. For now, it appears they'll hold onto the titles until there's some dissension among the brothers. As for Brie Bella, there's been reports her in-ring skills are "improving," for what it's worth, but will she take the championship from A.J. Lee? It's possible that WWE will give her and Bryan the two titles this weekend, ahead of their impending nuptials.
That leaves Big E Langston. Is he ready to hold onto a title? The Intercontinental Championship has lost luster over the past years and Curtis Axel hasn't exactly brought glory back to it. However, he's held onto the belt for a reason. Go out on a limb and pick Big E to score his first championship gold this coming Sunday. As for the Heyman and Ryback team up against Punk, it seems like a second opportunity for Punk to get his hands on Heyman. However, that happened at the last pay-per-view, so a repeat would be strange to see. Expect to see Heyman outsmart his former client in this one and escape the cell somehow.
WWE Hell in a Cell 2013 arrives on Sunday, Oct. 27 at the American Airlines Arena in Miami, Florida. Pro wrestling fans can watch on pay-per-view via cable, satellite or live stream feed ordered through WWE's website, starting at 8 p.m. EST on Sunday night.
