WWE Hall of Famer and pro wrestling legend "Amazing" Mae Young has passed away. She was 90 years old.
Mae Young is best known by fans today for her exploits with fellow Hall of Fame legend The Fabulous Moolah (Lillian Ellison). The duo would become fixtures of WWE television in the latter part of the Attitude Era, with Young having a relationship with Mark Henry, resulting in the birth of a rubber hand.
While many fans knew her for the above, Young's history in the wrestling business spanned over 9 decades, as she first entered the ring in 1939 at the age of 15, soon becoming one of the most well known female talent in the industry, winning the NWA U.S. Women's Championship.
Mae Young's career was immortalized in "Lipstick and Dynamite", a documentary covering the early days and talent on the women's side of professional wrestling, long before the term "divas" was ever invented. The documentary is available on Netflix and you can check out an interview Young and Moolah did with Conan O'Brien on the film above.
Young was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2007 alongside The Fabulous Moolah, who passed away that same year.
