When Lita was announced for the 2014 WWE Hall of Fame, there were three legitimate choices to induct her into the Hall. According to PWS on March 25, the obvious choice won out as Trish Stratus will induct Lita into the WWE Hall of Fame.
The choices that made the most sense was The Hardy Boyz, Edge and Trish Stratus.
Honestly, the idea of the Hardy Boyz inducting Lita into the WWE Hall of Fame was unrealistic. Forget the fact that Lita and Matt Hardy used to be a couple until she left him for his friend Edge. The fact is that Jeff Hardy wrestles for TNA Impact Wrestling, and that makes his appearance unlikely at all.
Lita began her career in the WWE as the valet for Essa Rios and quickly became more popular that Rios thanks to her high flying daredevil moves. She was quickly moved to the side of The Hardy Boyz as Team Extreme, where they became some of the most popular stars in the company.
Lita would leave their side when she began dating Edge and the two of them became one of the most controversial and successful couples in professional wrestling for many years. Edge was a solid option to induct Lita as well, but since they were once a couple that is no longer together, it was also awkward.
That left Trish Stratus, who was Lita's biggest nemesis when it came to her wrestling career. Lita was the person who inducted Trish into the WWE Hall of Fame, and when Lita asked Trish to induct her, it was easy for Stratus to say yes.
