When Jake "The Snake" Roberts and Scott "Razor Ramon" Hall made it into this year's WWE Hall of Fame induction class, it proved that there are rewards for people who work hard to turn their lives around. According to PWS on April 1, Roberts said that he never thought it would happen for him.
“People have to remember that an alcoholic and a drug addict can be known to tell a lie or two and I certainly did my share of it with lashing out and was pretty ugly about it," Roberts said.
Of course, Roberts was once one of the biggest stars in the WWE until alcohol and drugs brought his life crashing down on him. The lowest point seemed to be during the making of the documentary "Beyond the Mat," which showed Roberts getting a chance to reconcile with his daughter and then throwing it all away by returning to drugs.
However, something big happened for both Roberts and Hall when Diamond Dallas Page reached out and promised them something special if they would put their dedication into making it work. The idea was that DDP Yoga could help replace the cravings to the addictions that destroyed their lives.
Both men are now clean thanks to DDP Yoga.
"Diamond Dallas saved my life," Roberts said. "It’s just incredible with the lives he’s changing, the lives he’s affecting. I am so honored to be part of that. Me making my journey, Scott Hall making his journey, we opened the doors for a lot of people out there that are struggling with all sorts of addictions."
Now, this Saturday, both Roberts and Hall will get inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, something that Roberts said he thought was out of the question thanks to his antics. Roberts said he has been forgiven by Vince McMahon and he has Diamond Dallas Page to thank for that.
