With WWE "Wrestlemania 30" a month away and only three WWE Hall of Fame nominees chosen, the rest of the class will need to be announced soon. The fourth Hall of Fame class member was announced on "WWE Monday Night Raw" on March 3 and that new member is Paul Bearer.
Paul Bearer joins The Ultimate Warrior, Jake "The Snake" Roberts and Lita in the WWE Hall of Fame so far this year.
This is both a very deserving nominee, but is also a tragic one that comes a year too late. Paul Bearer died last year.
Bearer started his career in the territories, managing in areas such as World Class Championship Wrestling as Percy Pringle III. Then, he made his debut in the WWE when Brother Love introduced him as the brand new manager of The Undertaker, following Ted DiBiase and Brother Love himself.
Paul Bearer then remained connected with The Undertaker through his entire career. He managed him for years before he eventually introduced Kane, the evil brother of The Undertaker who wanted vengeance on Undertaker for a fire that killed their parents. Paul Bearer also managed Mick Foley when he showed up in the WWE as Mankind.
Over his career, whether it is with Undertaker, Kane or Mankind, Paul Bearer was one of the most successful managers in the WWE and is a perfect inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame.
