WWE Extreme Rules fallout to be explored on Monday Night Raw

According to a May 5 report from MStars News, fallout from last night's Extreme Rules special event is expected to be explored during tonight's WWE Monday Night Raw in Albany. The episode, which will be filmed at the Times Union Center, airs live at 8 p.m. on the USA Network.

What can WWE Universe expect from tonight's episode of WWE Monday Night Raw? Obviously, all the talk of the day in the WWE realm surrounds the events that transpired last night at Extreme Rules in New Jersey. Several interesting storylines emerged from WWE Extreme Rules, and all the loose ends are expected to be tied up tonight at WWE Monday Night Raw.

First and foremost, Daniel Bryan's shocking win over Kane needs to be addressed. Bryan pinned Kane at Extreme Rules to hold on to his WWE Heavyweight Championship Belt, but the "Devil's Favorite Demon" lit a table on fire as the champ was celebrating his win. This would indicate that there will be a rematch tonight on WWE Monday Night Raw, since Kane obviously isn't done with Bryan.

Also on tap for tonight, WWE fans will find out if the promotion will continue to script The Shield to feud with Evolution, or if the supergroups will start to squabble with other tag-teams. The Shield defeated Evolution at Extreme Rules, but most fans considered that bout to be among the best at the event. Since the match was so good, the WWE might want to have a rematch tonight or perhaps even at the upcoming Payback special event that goes down next month.

Tonight's episode of WWE Monday Night Raw will also undoubtedly feature a confrontation between John Cena and Bray Wyatt. Cena took out most of The Wyatt Family during Extreme Rules, but he was shaken up when a demon child emerged from outside the steel cage. There's obviously some unfinished business between the two men, since Wyatt left Extreme Rules with a victory. Cena is one of the most beloved babyfaces in the WWE, so the promotion might want him to emerge from the conflict with his hand raised.

In other action, Jack Swagger will be looking to avenge his Extreme Rules loss to Cesaro and fast-rising newcomer Adam Rose is expected to make his WWE debut during tonight's episode of WWE Monday Night Raw. Also on the bill, WWE Divas champ Paige is penciled in to put her title on the line.

Paige defeated Tamina Snuka at Extreme Rules, and she'll battle it out with another WWE Diva tonight at WWE Monday Night Raw. Former Divas champ AJ Lee was not in attendance at Extreme Rules, and she won't be competing tonight either. She's taking an extended break from action, but she's expected to return next month. Perhaps the WWE will have Paige compete against AJ Lee during a special event later this year.

Elsewhere, Bad News Barrett is expected to put his Intercontinental Championship on the line, one night after defeating Big E at Extreme Rules. Also on the card, Alexander Rusev is expected to appear. The WWE hasn't made any official bout announcements, but they have confirmed that Daniel Bryan and The Shield will be on hand for tonight's WWE Monday Night Raw. It's also expected that Batista's status with the promotion will be addressed.
