"The WWE Elimination Chamber" took place on Feb. 17 and the third match was the actual Elimination Chamber match to determine the number one contender for the world championship belt.
Booker T has had qualifying matches over the last month as he attempts to determine who will fight in this match. The men involved include the world tag team champions Kane and Daniel Bryan, Randy Orton, Chris Jericho and the returning Jack Swagger and Mark Henry.
Both Swagger and Henry returned recently and look better than ever, Henry destroying everyone in his path while Swagger has introduced a new manager in Zeb Coltor, also known as Dirty Dutch Mantell.
The rules start out with two men in the ring and each other wrestler joins in times increments. Once a man is pins or submits, they are eliminated and the last man standing wins. Chris Jericho and Daniel Bryan were the first two men to open the match.
The two fought a nice back-and-forth match until Jack Swagger ended up as the third man in the ring. Swagger comes in like a house of fire, attacking both Jericho and Bryan. All three men were down when Kane was the fourth man to enter the contest. He went to town on everyone but his own partner, but when Bryan tried to pin Kane, he started beating up Bryan.
Randy Orton was the fifth man in the ring for the contest, and no one has been pinned yet. The match continued with no eliminations, and after a double superplex, all five men were down on the mat and Mark Henry enters the ring as the last entrant.
Mark Henry immediately hits Daniel Bryan with the World's Strongest Slam and eliminates last year's Elimination Chamber winner. He then tosses Randy Orton into a pod and turns in time to see Kane flying towards him. He catches Kane and hits another slam to eliminate Kane.
Jack Swagger hit Mark Henry with the big boot, Chris Jericho hit him with the Code Breaker and then Randy Orton returned to his the RKO and he pinned Mark Henry. Henry refuses to leave and hits his slam on all three remaining men. It takes five refs, Booker T and Teddy Long to get Mark Henry out of the cage.
The final three men fight a good fight, but it all ends when Randy Orton hit the RKO on Chris Jericho to pin him, only to have Jack Swagger sneak in from behind and school boy Orton for the three count.
Jack Swagger wins the Eliminated Chamber match and will headline Wrestlemania in the world championship match.
