'WWE Elimination Chamber' recap: Alberto Del Rio vs. Big Show

"The WWE Elimination Chamber" took place on Feb. 17 and the first match on the card was Alberto Del Rio defending his world championship against The Big Show.

The match has built ever since Del Rio beat Big Show for the world championship on Smackdown in a last man standing match. Del Rio began a successful title reign, as well as a fact turn that changed him into one of the most popular members of the Smackdown roster. Meanwhile, Big Show has done everything he can to get this rematch.

The match between the two started out with Big Show taking control. While Del Rio tried to fight back, the power of Big Show was too much for him. Del Rio went for his cross arm breaker early in the match, but Big Show fought it off. After a big spear, clothesline and splash, it looked like Big Show was going to get the win.

However, Del Rio fought back and started using his new fresh lucha moves on Big Show, including a nice hurricanrana and a suicide dive outside of the ring.

The end came after Big Show escaped from two cross arm breaker attempts and set up for the WMD knockout punch. When he tried to connect, Ricardo Rodriguez distracted him, so Big Show knocked him down. That gave Del Rio the chance to hit the enziguiri. He followed up with a super kick and then locked in a third cross arm breaker for the win.

Alberto Del Rio is the winner of the match and retained his world championship.
