The WWE Elimination Chamber 2014 live stream and TV matches begin Sunday, Feb. 23 with the special kick-off show from Target Center in Minneapolis. Fans will be treated to a free matchup involving two tag teams as well as a special panel of WWE stars to break things down and get ready for the main pay-per-view. The televised and live streaming Elimination Chamber matches begin at 7:30 p.m. EST, thanks to WWE and their various online channels.
The Crunch Sports site reported on Feb. 23 that tonight’s half-hour kick-off show at 7:30 p.m. EST will feature Cody Rhodes and his brother Goldust as they take on Curtis Axel and Ryback. Rhodes and Goldust are former tag team champions, while Axel and Ryback are still in the hunt for that glory. Most predictions favor the Rhodes Brothers to take this match and get back into the title picture. Fans can see it live streaming online via WWE’s YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, website, and other online sources.
Tonight's main show will feature the current WWE World Heavyweight Champion, Randy Orton, as he defends that belt inside the structure known as the "Elimination Chamber." The steel structure has six superstars inside, with two of them starting the match. Four others are locked in sealed pods around the ring which open up in five minute intervals to release them into the match. Wrestlers are eliminated via pinfall or submission until just one man remains. Will it be Orton emerging victorious, or a surprising new champion, such as Daniel Bryan?
In other action, there's a huge six man tag team match featuring The Wyatt Family (Bray Wyatt, Luke Rowan and Erick Harper) against The Shield (Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns). Current odds have the Wyatts as tonight's favorites, with rumors swirling that Shield might break up after a fantastic run as a WWE faction. Which members of Shield will go face and heel?
Add to those two matchups, at least three others with Big E defending the Intercontinental Title against Jack Swagger, New Age Outlaws defending the tag titles against The Usos, and Batista taking on Alberto Del Rio. Del Rio has been taunting and trash talking Batista ever since his return to the WWE and Royal Rumble victory. Batista is headed to WrestleMania 30 to challenge whoever is champion, so expect him to come away with a victory in tonight's match. Also, Darren Young and Titus O'Neil of PrimeTime Players have officially split as a tag team and will begin their first match in a new feud tonight. It all leads down the "Road to Wrestlemania" this coming April.
Sunday night's main pay-per-view, featuring the Elimination Chamber match, has a scheduled start time of 8 p.m. EST. Fans in the U.S. can order through their cable or satellite providers including Roanoke's Cox Cable, DISH Network and DIRECTV. In addition, the event will be available live streaming online, with fans able to order on their laptops, personal computers and mobile devices. See the WWE's website for more details on the ways to watch including apps for iOS and Android mobile devices.
