WWE diva Naomi suffers gruesome eye injury on Monday Night Raw

According to a Feb. 4 report from, hard-hitting WWE diva Naomi suffered a horrific eye injury during the Feb. 3 episode of Monday Night Raw.

Naomi, 26, was kneed in the face by her opponent, Aksana. WWE is scripted, but sometimes the athletes suffer injuries that are very real.

After catching a knee to the face from Aksana, it was confirmed by WWE officials that Naomi suffered a bruised eye socket.

“We took a look at her in the training room after she came back from her match,” said WWE physician Dr. Chris Amann. “She appears to have a bruised orbital bone or a bruised eye socket, as well as a scratch on her cornea.”

On a positive note, WWE officials say Naomi did not suffer a concussion.

That means she'll be able to return to WWE action in no time at all.

“We did a full eye examination and a head examination as well as a neurological examination; no signs of concussion,” said Dr. Amann. “We’re going to have her use ice and Tylenol and check her out again tomorrow."

Naomi tweeted that her husband is helping her through the recovery process, and carefully monitoring her condition.

"@mixgirl22: @NaomiWWE get well soon trinity I know your husband jon is taking good care of you.”he is and I'm taking full advantage," she tweeted.

No official word yet from WWE officials if Naomi will be appearing on next week's episode of Monday Night Raw, but pro wrestling fans will be watching the situation closely.

Naomi has been a mainstay on Monday Night Raw for years and WWE Universe wishes her a speedy recovery.
