The WWE is coming to the Verizon Center this Sunday, September 1st. Randy Orton will be taking on Daniel Bryan for the WWE title in the announced main event and CM Punk will take on Curtis Axel. We have seen Punk versus Axel a few times on Raw but I will watch this as many times as I can considering it is CM Punk. Punk as proved over and over again that he is a big player in the world of Pro Wrestling and has put his name up there in a small list of guys that can lose a match but still can be put over.
I paid the ridiculous amount for floor seats for two reasons; to hope that Rob Van Dam will wrestle (all of my fingers are crossed) and to see the DC debut of The Wyatt Family. You can call him Husky Harris if you want, but the repackaged superstar has a gimmick I can get behind and I am super excited to see this guy in person. I do not remember a time in the WWE that I was so pleased with the programming like I am right now. With Randy Orton and Alberto Del Rio as the world champions and fantastic performers like Daniel Bryan and RVD chasing them, the top looks great. Add in the fantastic build of the Shield, the Wyatt Family and the Real Americans headlined by wrestling legend Dutch Mantel, WWE is easily at its best since the early 2000's!
I hope to see a packed Verizon Center this Sunday as the WWE makes another visit to the Capital City! As my tickets read, the program starts at 5pm so everyone should embrace the good time that will be held this Sunday provided by the WWE!
