Who is going to win the Royal Rumble? It’s most asked-question every January for Pro Wrestling fans, and this year the answer to the question is a wide open. In the past few years, there has been few elevated stars who make sense as winners of the 30-men Rumble mach. With the 2012 Royal Rumble this Sunday live on Pay Per View, there is no exact star that seems to have the lure of being the man who to outlast 29 other men and win a main event match at Wrestlemania. In a series analyzing the field of possible Rumble winners, we spot out each star on the WWE roster each day who can win big this Sunday in St. Louis, MO.
Jericho has been the hot topic in WWE for the last month after getting a month of hype for his return on January 2nd, he’s been able to create more buzz about what his future is. The quivering anticipation of Jericho simply speaking since he rejoined the WWE fold, shows how effective his current creative direction is. It seems like with this momentum that Jericho can manipulate the masses watching the Rumble and the other Superstars in the Rumble match itself.
The big speculation has Jericho is primed to win the Royal Rumble so that he can chase the WWE Champion CM Punk into Wrestlemania 28 in Miami. Jericho’s motive to ‘end the world as we know it’ is go after the wrestler whose been calling himself the ‘best in the world’ in 2011. The scenario almost writes itself with Jericho who was once the big mouth of the WWE, sealing his lips and playing mind games with the outspoken WWE Champion.
It will be intriguing to see how Jericho wrestles in this match with 29 other stars. Expect him to be apart of the action later in the match, possibly drawing an entrant number between 15-30. Arda Ocal of the Score’s Aftermath podcast made a very clever prediciton with Jericho winning the Royal Rumble by entering at Number 30 after entrants 28 and 29 have eliminated one another. Under Ocal’s startling prediction Jericho would simply walk into the ring having no phyiscal challenges to win a golden path to Wrestlemania.

Jericho can chase the WWE Champion CM Punk without a Royal Rumble victory, and could always win the title off Punk at Febuary’s Elimination Chamber Pay Per View.
