The WWE Battleground 2013 live stream match results have arrived for the early match on WWE's special "Kickoff" show. In the first match of several on the night, "Mr. Showoff" Dolph Ziggler was scheduled to take on "The Savior of the Masses," Damien Sandow. While there were no special titles or stipulations in this live streaming WWE Battleground match, it still made for some early entertainment for fans ahead of the pay-per-view.
According to an Oct. 6 report from Wrestling Inc, match featured Damien Sandow introduced to the Buffalo PPV crowd first. Upon his arrival, Sandow cut a promo with microphone in hand about how he'd destroy Ziggler in the match. He also said that once he cashes in his Money in the Bank briefcase for the World Championship, he'd be "the king of champion we can model our life after." He even suggested he might cash in for the title tonight during Battleground.
Reportedly, the opening match featured numerous back-and-forth spots, with many pinfall attempts traded between the two competitors. At one point, Ziggler went for a huge leg drop, but Sandow dropped Ziggler. Sandow had numerous attempts at the winning pinfall from there, as did Ziggler. Ziggler went for his patented sleeper, but Sandow managed to block it. After Dolph missed a splash in the corner, Sandow had another near fall. However, Dolph managed to capitalized on a knee injury, kicking the back of one of Sandow's legs, and then dropping him with his finisher, the Zig Zag. With that, Ziggler collected the much-needed victory over "Mr. Money in the Bank" Sandow.
The 2013 WWE Battleground PPV event will continue from 8 p.m. EST through 11 p.m. EST on cable or satellite pay-per-view, as well as live streaming online through WWE's site service. Fans will be able to see all the action on demand as well once the event has ended. There's also sure to be more coverage of all the results from WWE on Monday's episode of Raw, beginning at 8 p.m. EST.
