On Sunday night, July 20, WWE presented the second annual Battleground pay per view. The show was held in the Tampa Bay Times Forum in Tampa, Florida. Here are the results.

In a Kickoff pre-show match, Adam Rose pinned Fandango with The Party Foul.

In a second Kickoff pre-show match, Cameron pinned Naomi with a roll up and a handful of tights.

WWE Tag Team Champions Jimmy & Jey Uso beat The Wyatt Family (Erick Rowan & Luke Harper) in a 2-out-of-3 Falls Match to retain the Championships.

  • Harper pinned Jimmy after hitting a big boot.
  • Jey pinned Harper with a roll up.
  • The Usos hit a double Samoan splash on Harper to get the deciding pinfall.

Backstage, Seth Rollins was being interviewed but was jumped by Dean Ambrose. WWE COO Triple H ordered Ambrose to be ejected from the building.

WWE Divas Champion AJ Lee pinned Paige after hitting the Shining Wizard.

Rusev (with Lana) beat Jack Swagger (with Zeb Colter) via count out.

Seth Rollins came out the ring to be announced winner via forfeit over Dean Ambrose, but Ambrose ran to ringside and violently attacked Rollins. Rollins and Ambrose had a wild brawl with agents pulling Ambrose away while referees held Rollins back. They eventually drug Ambrose to the back and Triple H announced Rollins the winner via forfeit.

Chris Jericho pinned Bray Wyatt after hitting the Codebreaker.

Backstage, Rollins tried to leave the arena but was jumped by Ambrose again, who was hiding in the trunk of Rollins’ car. Another brawl ensued before Rollins was able to toss Ambrose off the car and speed away.

The Miz won a battle royal, last eliminating Dolph Ziggler, to win the vacant WWE Intercontinental Championship. Other participants included Xavier Woods, Zack Ryder, The Great Khali, Sin Cara, R-Truth, Curtis Axel, Damian Sandow, Diego of Los Matadores, Ryback, Titus O’Neil, Alberto Del Rio, Big E, Kofi Kingston, Cesaro, Heath Slater, Bo Dallas and WWE United States Champion Sheamus.

WWE World Heavyweight Champion John Cena beat Kane, Randy Orton and Roman Reigns in a Fatal Four Way. Orton hit a RKO on Kane and then Cena hit Orton with an Attitude Adjustment and pinned Kane.
