John Cena has teased that some surprises are being planned for the upcoming cross-generation game, "WWE 2K15." According to a report from OXCGN on July 7, the current WWE World Heavyweight Champion commented on being chosen as the cover star in this year's installment of the franchise. He revealed that he actually worked closely with 2K Sports in the project.
John Cena was able to provide some personal input on the video game although he did not revealed what exactly his role will be. He promised that he is going to give his all to help the development teams create the best possible video game, however. Finally, the wrestler also stated that players are going to be so addicted that they won't be able to put their controllers down.
"WWE 2K15" adds several new elements to the series despite the short development time. The visuals got a revamped to accommodate for the PS4 and Xbox One next-generation systems. 2K Sports decided to use the same scanning technology found in "NBA 2K15" on the new wrestling game. Furthermore, the studios also improved the animation and lighting systems. On the audio side, the two commentators, Jerry Lawler and Michael Cole, also recorded their voices together in order to make the conversations sound more normal in the video game.
Along with the aforementioned cover boy, "WWE 2K15" also includes Bray Wyatt, Cesaro (with his manager, Paul Heyman), Hulk Hogan and Roman Reigns. A lot more playable characters should be announced in the near future. For example, 2K Sports waited until Summerslam last year to unveiled the complete roster of "WWE 2K14."
"WWE 2K15" is a little under four months away from launch with a release date of Oct. 28 on the PS4, Xbox One, PS3 and Xbox 360 consoles. No gameplay video has been shown so far although the software product will be coming out soon.
