Mark Little has commented on the possible inclusion of CM Punk in the "WWE 2K15" roster. According to a report from Sportskeeda on June 18, the executive producer did not dismiss the possibility of the disgruntled wrestler of being added to the video game. However, he won't be talking more about the potential playable characters in the software product until a later time period.
CM Punk last appeared in WWE programming at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view event in the first month of this year. He decided to walk out on the company the next night right before the start of the Monday Night Raw television show. Although no official reason was provided, several reports suggested that he was mentally and physically exhausted in addition to not being happy with his position as a performer.
Despite his abrupt departure, CM Punk remains one of the most popular wrestlers in the WWE. Fans are still chanting for his name during live televised events while is also one of the biggest merchandise sellers on the roster. He was the cover star of "WWE '12" as well before 2K Sports took over the development and publishing aspects of the series.
Only five characters have been officially announced for "WWE 2K15" so far, four of them are currently on the roster with Bray Wyatt, Cesaro, John Cena and Roman Reigns. The other is Hulk Hogan, who is no longer an active wrestler. The full lineup of playable characters should be revealed in Aug. at the Summerslam pay-per-view event.
"WWE 2K15" would then come out two around two months after the full roster reveal on Oct. 28 in North America. The list of playable characters could be affected by numerous cuts made by the WWE recently due to financial troubles as a result of the WWE Network under-performing.
