Fans may not have to wait too much longer to take a peek at the gameplay in the upcoming PS4 and Xbox One video game, "WWE 2K15." According to a report from Sportskeeda on Aug. 2, IGN announced that the upcoming title is going to be a part of the "IGN First" coverage. As a result, new information will be revealed on a daily basis over the next month.
One of the biggest mysteries surround the wrestling title has to do with the lack of any real media. 2K Games, the publisher of the software product, has not yet shown any real-time screen or video although the game is due to come out in just several months. Fortunately, the aforementioned "IGN First" coverage promises to provide a first look at the gameplay.
The development teams have already teased some of the visual improvements. The upcoming game should feature better character models as the same scanning technology from "NBA 2K15" is being used for the wrestling title. A ring was also set up to capture new animations of the maneuvers. All of these changes could add more realism to the previously lackluster visuals.
Aug. is going to be a busy month for 2K Games for "WWE 2K15." In addition to the month-long partnership with IGN, the publisher is going to hold a star-studded panel on Aug. 16 to reveal the full roster of characters that will be appearing in this year's installment of the franchise. The event is being hosted by "Stone Cold" Steve Austin and will feature the following stars: Cesaro, Hulk Hogan, John Cena, Roman Reigns and Sheamus.
Although previously rumored to be delayed until early next year, 2K Games announced that the official release date for the game is still being planned for Oct. 28 in North America and Oct. 31 in Europe. The software product is a cross-generation release as it is also coming to the PS3 and Xbox 360 along with the two next-generation systems.
