The playable characters list has been potentially clarified for the upcoming multiplatform video game, "WWE 2K15." According to a report from Attack of the Fan Boy on July 28, the leak apparently came from a forum poster saying that the full roster was revealed in the latest issue of the Game Informer magazine. However, some inconsistencies were found that may have dispelled the rumor.
The first is CM Punk, who decided to walk out on the WWE earlier this year. The contract for the disgruntled wrestler recently ran out as he now appears in the "Alumni" section of the wrestling company's website. In recent interviews, he seems very content with his life outside the ring and does not seem to be interested in going back anytime soon.
The other issue with the rumored list is Mick Foley. The legend recently stated that he will most likely not be included to "WWE 2K15" due to the low compensation. A member of the current roster, Rusev, also appeared on the NXT side although he has been prominently featured on the main roster. Finally, Justin Gabriel was not mentioned even though he posted a picture of being scanned for the video game.
WWE recently announced that the official roster is going to be announced during Summerslam weekend. Multiple current and past stars will be holding a panel on Aug. 16. The names include Cesaro, Hulk Hogan, Roman Reigns, Sheamus as well as the host, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin.
"WWE 2K15" is launching in three months on Oct. 28. Among the wrestlers officially confirmed so far include Bray Wyatt, John Cena and Sting. The new version is the first in the series to be released on the PS4 and Xbox One next-generation platforms. PS3 and Xbox 360 fans can also get the same game on the current-generation consoles.
