CM Punk walked out of the WWE the day after the Royal Rumble pay-per-view event. He was reportedly mentally and physically burnt out in addition to being upset at not being in the main event match at Wrestlemania XXX.

2K Games usually set the roster of playable characters during the day after the biggest annual par-view event. Furthermore, CM Punk’s contract reportedly runs out in July of this year, which could cause more complications.

“WWE 2K15” was confirmed by Take-Two Interactive, the parent company of 2K Games, for the PS4 and Xbox One during the latest earnings call. This year’s edition has not yet been confirmed for the PS3 and Xbox 360 consoles.

CM Punk was actually the cover star of “WWE ’13,” the final game of the series to be published by the defunct THQ. 2K Games took over the publishing responsibilities starting with “WWE 2K14” and enlisted Visual Concepts to help Yuke’s with the development of the video games.

You can take a look at some screenshots from last year’s game, which were released for the PS3 and Xbox 360, in the slideshow to the left of the article.
