The first details have been revealed in regards to the "WWE 2K15" limited edition for the PS4, Xbox One, PS3 and Xbox 360. According to a report from Gameranx on July 4, a fan asked Hulk Hogan to give his thoughts about appearing in this year's installment of the series. The legendary wrestler answered back by disclosing that he has already signed 3,000 pictures that will be used in the premium version of the wrestling video game. He then hinted that the special package could be limited to just 25,000 copies.
Hulk Hogan is among the first set of characters to be confirmed for "WWE 2K15." The other four are all active members of the roster: Bray Wyatt, Cesaro, John Cena and Roman Reigns. The legendary figure was also a huge part of "WWE 2K14" as he was featured in some of the matches from the 30 Years of Wrestlemania mode.
The "WWE 2K15" special edition will most likely be based around Hulk Hogan in terms of physical and digital extras. The "WWE 2K14" Phenom Edition, for example, came with a controller skin, DVD, tin case along with in-game extras that were created for The Undertaker. Last year's premium product managed to sell out quickly.
The upcoming game is the first in the series to be developed for the PS4 and Xbox One. As a result, 2K Games decided to improved the presentation aspects. The animation, character models and commentary were all enhanced, especially on the two aforementioned next-generation consoles from Microsoft Studios and Sony Computer Entertainment.
The Visual Concepts development team is also playing a bigger role in this year's version although Yukes will still be the main studio behind the project's production. The "WWE 2K15" release date has been set for Oct. 28 in the North America region.
