A comparison has been made by Jared Rea in regards to "WWE 2K14" and the upcoming "WWE 2K15." According to a report from Ecumenical News on July 13, the community manager at 2K Games talked a little bit about the lighting engine in this year's installment. He revealed that the Visual Concepts and Yukes did more than simply increased the contrast of the visuals.
The two studios were able to change the graphics, providing it with a more realistic look. Jared Rea went on to admit that the graphics won't be a big leap, especially on the PS3 and Xbox 360, when compared to "WWE 2K14." However, "WWE 2K15" should look more like the production of the wrestling company's television programs.
Aside from the new lighting engine, the development teams also decided to improve on the character models and animations. To do so, wrestlers like John Cena, the cover star, were brought into to be scanned using the same technology as "NBA 2K15." Furthermore, a wrestling ring was also set up to capture animations with Cesaro, another confirmed superstar that will be a part of the roster.
Other than the two aforementioned characters, 2K Games also confirmed that Bray Wyatt, Hulk Hogan, Jerry Lawler, Michael Cole and Roman Reigns are going to be added as well. With "WWE 2K15" being less than four months away from launch, more of the roster should be revealed in the near future. Fans can expect to see a mix of current divas and superstars along with legendary wrestlers from the past.
The latest game from the "WWE 2K" series will be hitting North America first on Oct. 28. The European launch is going to occur three days later on Oct. 31. The publisher behind the software product for both major regions is aforesaid 2K Games.
