A clarification has been posted in regards to the roster reveal showcase for the forthcoming Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 video game, “WWE 2K14.” According to a report by Wrestlezone on Aug. 15, a select group of playable characters may not be shown at the event.
The roster reveal showcase is expected to focus on "30 Years of Wrestlemania" as a complete list of playable characters will be revealed for the new campaign mode. 2K Games has already confirmed some of the participants so far: Andre the Giant, John Cena in addition to the two variations of Hulk Hogan and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. The new mode in “WWE 2K14” focuses on some of the most memorable Wrestlemania matches over the past three decades. As a result, the roster reveal showcase will most likely emphasize the legendary wrestlers from the past. You can take a look at the complete details of the presentation below (courtesy of Wrestlezone):
Saturday, August 17th (9:30AM ET): Jim Ross, Jerry "The King" Lawler and Damien Sandow will be revealing the complete "30 Years of WrestleMania" roster, live from SummerSlam Axxess. It's worth mentioning that this doesn't mean WWE will necessarily be revealing the entire roster for WWE 2K14, just those who will be playable in the newly announced "30 Years of WrestleMania" mode.
Jim Ross and Jerry "The King" Lawler are former broadcasting partners for the various WWE television programming. Damien Sandow currently holds the “Money in the Bank” briefcase, which guarantees him a World Heavyweight Championship match at any given time.
The roster for the current active divas and wrestlers should be revealed before “WWE 2K14” is released in North American on Oct. 29.
