The WWE 2K14 video game roster reveal was made during the latest episode of Monday Night Raw, with the WWE officially unveiling the lineup on their website as well. Among the big name superstars joining the upcoming game are Mr. McMahon, A.J. Lee, Eddie Guerrero, Ryback, and all three members of The Shield.
The WWE.com site reported on Sept. 23 with a full list of the newest names in the soon-to-be-released game from 2K Sports. Some of the names making it onto the list include Eddie Guerrero, Santino Marella, Brodus Clay, Tensai, Sin Cara, Mark Henry, Christian and Cody Rhodes. All three members of The Shield are listed, but surprisingly none of the members of The Wyatt Family are on the list. That's not to say they could be released as DLC's in the future. Among the divas announced are Stephanie McMahon, Layla, Lita, Kaitlyn, and current divas champion, A.J. Lee. The only divas from the E! "Total Divas" show who appears on the list right now is Natalya. See the full roster over at the WWE 2K14 site.
WWE previously revealed the WWE 2K14 roster characters for a "30 Years of WrestleMania" mode that is exclusive to the new game. Among those characters were a "who's who" of wrestling legends. John Cena, Bret Hart, The Rock, Hulk Hogan, The Undertaker, Triple H, Ric Flair and Stone Cold Steve Austin. There are multiple versions of some of the characters including "retro" versions of Rock, HHH, Shawn Michaels, Big Show, Chris Jericho, John Cena and Ric Flair.
Fans are already quick to point out names they see missing from the roster reveal, including Curtis Axel, Fandango, and of course, The Wyatt Family. The fact that not many of the "Total Divas" females are part of the game, is also a curious aspect of the roster, especially with The Bella Twins seeming to be involved in the show a lot. All of these divas or superstars have been relatively popular within WWE in the past several months, so they still may find a way into the game. It's always possible the game was in development before they were active in the WWE or storylines. However, there's always the ability to create characters, which has been a popular feature with gamers on the various wrestling video games.
WWE video game fans, what do you think of the full roster for the game? Which characters do you think need to be added to the roster the most, if any?
