New details have been revealed in regards to the pay-per-view customization features for the universe mode of the upcoming multiplatform video game, “WWE 2K14.” According to a report by Operation Sports on Sept. 30, the King of the Ring will be one of the events included in the wrestling simulation title.
The classic pay-per-view features a tournament that usually composes of up and coming wrestlers. Previous winners include Bret Hart, Edge, Sheamus, Stone Cold Steve Austin and Triple H. In the video game, players will be able to set up their own tournament in addition to filling out the rest of the scheduled matches. The winner of the tournament will also inherit the “King of the Ring” moniker until the same pay-per-view next year.
The universe mode of “WWE 2K14” also include a theme event called “'No Man's Land.” In this new pay-per-view, players can customize matches using different type of cages.
“WWE 2K14,” which also includes a “30 Years of WrestleMania” campaign along with the aforementioned universe mode, include over 80 playable characters from the past and present. Several more current superstars, divas and legendary wrestlers are expected to be added to the roster through downloadable content packs.
2K Games will be releasing “WWE 2K14” in North America first on Oct. 29. The same title is launching for the rest of the regions in the world on Nov. 1.
