The Joy of Green Cleaning
Did you know that most of the disinfectants we are using in our homes were actually designed for use in the surgical rooms of hospitals. In hospitals, it is critical for the surfaces of these rooms to be completely sterilized to protect patients who's immune systems are already weak. But the same ingredients that are in hospital grade disinfectants are ending up in our household cleaners. Most of our homes do not need to be as sterile as a hospital operating room. For most of our cleaning using a simple soap and hot water could be enough, but we have been led to believe that we need to remove every possible microorganism. But research is showing that unless you have someone with a stressed immune system - old fashioned cleaning - like soap and hot water is more than enough.* from WVE report
