Wurstfest this year will be held October 30 through November 8th at the Wurstfest Grounds in Landa Park located in New Braunfels, Texas.  The festival is a celebration of German culture complete with food and entertainment.    There will be Polka bands, yodelers, and a variety of German faire for adults and children alike.  Many crafters and tours will also be on hand for those who would like some lessons in German heritage and culture.  Local museums and venues in and around New Braunfels, such as the Sophienburg Museum & Archives, Kaffee House, and Ferdinand Lindheimer Home, will also be open for visits and tours.  If the dramatic comedy mood strikes you the Circle Arts Theatre, located next door to the Wursthalle, will be hosting “Batwurst:  The Adventures of Bratman & Robin.  Bratman, a super hero like no other, vows to right all wrongs and bring his arch nemesis, the Jester, to justice.  This is an old time melodrama with audience participation including games, sing a long, booing & cheering and throwing popcorn during a silly pun filled fast paced show.
