Writing fiction: write what is in your heart

Often times writers write what they think the masses would enjoy reading. This is valid to a degree. Instead of writing for everyone else, a writer should write what is in their heart.

Remember the TV program, "Everybody Loves Raymond"? Raymond's mother, Marie always said that her cooking was so amazing because she cooked with love. The same thing applies to writing a great book! Write your book with love. Write it with heart, not just empty words.

Food for thought: Write what you enjoy reading. If you do not like what you are writing, what makes you think someone else is going to like it?

Think about what makes you happy, smile, laugh, cry or fear. Chances are those things will have the same effect on your readers!

If you are ready to start writing your book and need supplies, shop at Costco or Staples in Raleigh, NC.
