The indie romance dramedy "Sweet Talk" will open in Los Angeles at the Downtown Independent on Friday, December 13.

The film tells the story of a troubled young woman (Natalie Zea) and a blocked writer (Jeffrey Vincent Parise), both at loose ends in their lives, who connect over a phone sex line, and after some provocative and amusing verbal dueling, take a journey together that turns out to be a great deal more romantic and erotic than either of them suspected.

"Sweet Talk" is described as a "sensual tale about the transformative power of storytelling."

The film is the first feature film from its married collaborators, author, playwright, and screenwriter Peter Lefcourt ("Desperate Housewives") with director and actress Terri Hanauer (best known for her award-winning short film, "Recycling Flo").

In addition to its Los Angeles theatrical release at the Downtown Independent on Friday, December 13, the film will be made available on Video On Demand, iTunes, Amazon, Playstation, and all other major VOD providers on December 15, 2013.
