In the world of social media your blog post, status updates, and tweets can become irrelevant noise. You have the power to change all of that. Creative writing isn't just about the great American novel, it's about you writing and having others enjoy it. Want to be heard in the masses? Here's a few ideas to help you shine a little brighter.
- Be yourself.
- Be relevant
- Be consistent
- Be fun
The trick to writing is to start writing and to keep writing. Write what you know. There's success in being creative if you write what comes easily for you.
If writing is something you desire to pursue as a career, or if it's your favorite hobby, make time for it daily. Writing improves with writing. Creativity has to be nurtured.
Now for your challenge: Write about you. What could you know better that you. Take a few minutes, open up a blank document page and just write about you. Will you tell your story? Will you create a character using your personality? Are you the hero? Will it be poetry that keeps your words flowing or perhaps a letter to a friend?
Keep those fingers on the keyboard and never use the delete button. What doesn't sound right today may be exactly what you want to say tomorrow. Nurture the creative side of you daily and then the day won't seem complete unless you have made the effort to write.
