Award-winning wrestling writer Andy Hamilton, along with Princeton University head coach Chris Ayres, will be the guests for the “On The Mat” show for Wed., Dec. 4, the weekly broadcast announced Tuesday.
Hamilton covers high school sports and wrestling for the Des Moines Register. He has been named journalist of the year by the National Wrestling Media Association and by WIN (Wrestling Insider Newsmagazine).
Ayres is the head wrestling coach at Princeton University, which was one of only three teams to go two-for-two at Grapple at the Garden 2 college wrestling event at Madison Square Garden in New York last Sunday. He was also an assistant coach at Lehigh University from 2001 through 2006.
“On the Mat" is a presentation of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame Dan Gable Museum. The show can be heard live on the Internet at www.kcnzam.com or locally in Northeast Iowa each Wednesday from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. Central on AM 1650, The Fan.
