Apart from the 'dyed-in-the-wool' progressive, atheist-secularist, radical-feminist, and social-anarchist, it is hard to come to grips with the thought pattern of the Catholic/Christian disciple of Barack Obama. Yesterday, Obama-fever reached peak heights; both for him and against him. Though there are a few 'Catholic-Christians' against Obama for irrational reasons, the overwhelming majority of anti-Obama Catholic-Christian sentiment is rational and reasonable for Pro-Life, Pro-religious freedom, Pro-traditional marriage, and Pro Constitutional reasons.
The same cannot be said for 'Catholic Christian' Obama supporters.

Here rationality seems to run off the reservation. Question a 'Catholic-Christian' Obama voter about the right to Life and the perennial teaching of the Catholic Church, not to mention the commandment: 'Thou Shalt not kill,' and they will blurt out something about 'women's reproductive rights' and the less than 1% tragedy of rape or incest in abortion cases. Real statistics, real facts, and real religion are pushed aside for progressive rhetoric and popular hype.

Question any 'Catholic-Christian' Obama supporter about religious persecution (in the HHS mandate) and they will defame the Church by calling them oppressor's of women. They will depict contraception, and abortive chemical agents, as a woman's right to own her own body. They will call on the Church to get with the times and pay for the rampant promiscuity in our society today. They completely ignore the science of contraception as an interference with the normal development of life; subsequently, they also deny the reality of the Church's condemnation of contraception. As 'Catholic-Christians,' moreover, they should respect the dignity of the human conscience, informed by the Church, in dialogue with the Holy Spirit, while allowed the freedom by the American Constitution, to practice their religious beliefs without governmental interference.

Yet, selective amnesia occurs!
We could go on and on. But I will add only one more consideration. Marriage is a Catholic Sacrament! Non-Catholic Christians, moreover, are all to familiar with the explicit design of God for marriage, solely, in a man and a woman. Educated Christians know fully well of natural law; Catholics and Christians with common sense see the 'natural' law of male and female, and child. Yet, so many 'Catholic-Christian' Obama disciples see only the PC pressure to conform to an unholy and false form of marriage.
Reason seems to have taken a back seat to popular infatuation. Faith, consequently, has become distorted; distorted from God and His Church, and redirected toward the President and the progressive movement.
