Columbus, Ohio—HWA wrestler Chris Carnage has been indicted on drug trafficking, drug possession and other felony charges for his involvement in a steroid ring that allegedly imported drugs from China, processed them in Tennessee and then sold them to high school athletes and other customers.
According to authorities up to 32 people were involved in making and distribution of the steroids which were purchased in powder form in China and then processed in Tennessee before being distributed by a number of dealers who were often rewarded with bonuses. Among those arrested were a bank manager, a financial planner, a health club manager and a stay-home mother. Over $600,000 worth of steroids were recovered by police along with $300,000 in cash and a cache of assault rifles and other firearms.
Carnage worked mostly in the Mid-West and some southern federations including working a TV taping for Ohio Valley Wrestling in 2010. All of those indicted have turned themselves in with the exception of one defendant who passed away due from heart related issues due to steroid abuse.

--Stacy Keibler, ever the one to stay relevant, is allegedly taking cooking lessons among other things in order to please her man George Clooney. A number of Diva’s will be appearing on The Insider later this week to talk about Keibler. For those of you jealous of Clooney keep in mind that he is cleaning up David Flair’s sloppy seconds…among others.
--Well if you follow this column or my Charlotte piece you would already know that Maryse leaving the WWE was a mutual parting of the ways. Here are a couple of other tidbits coming out of that mess, Maryse is said to be looking at a formal Playboy layout and a proposed program with Hornswoggle was a factor in Maryse wanting out.
--With the Undertaker rested and mostly healed and little reason for Michelle McCool to stay home and tend to him, both are talking with the WWE about coming back to TV.
--From the not really newsworthy department, Sheamus is going to be a presenter at the MTV Ireland gimmick.
--Evan Bourne suspended due to Wellness Violation, apologetic, vows to do better, blah, blah, blah.
--Friend of the Show Chyna who has some very interesting things to say in the new Kayfabe Commentaries “YouShoot” will be hosting a party at Rick’s Cabaret in New York on November 10. From 6:00 pm-8:00 pm the gentleman’s club will welcome the former WWE wrestler and Vivid star as she interacts with fans, signs autographs and hands out copies of “Backdoor to Chyna.”
--I am really tired of David Arquette being reported as a former WCW World Heavyweight Champion, he has as much to do with wrestling as Don Basher. I cannot stand Arquette and his involvement with WCW was at a point in their history where nothing they were doing was related to professional wrestling.
--I am seeing reports that some of the most recent Wellness Violation issues could be the result of using synthetic marijuana. There have been a number of deaths related to synthetic marijuana use while there are very few deaths reported from the use of marijuana. Which begs the question, why not just legalize pot and be done with it? I have never smoked nor do I plan to but I do not support the argument that pot smoking leads to other, more hardcore drug use and I do advocate legalizing marijuana.
--Chris Masters continues to try and stay relevant, first saying one of the Diva’s gave sexual favors to Michael Hayes (again, eeeeewwww) and now saying he had a 70 pill a day habit. I really have a difficult time buying that story, not only from Masters but from anyone who claims such a ridiculous habit. The only person I know who took 70 pills a day was Loui Spicolli and look what happened to him.
--The relationship poison and STD clinic poster icon Lita is said to have caused a riff between CM Punk and his girlfriend and Friend of the Show Beth Phoenix. Things have been icy between the couple since Lita was backstage at a WWE event and Punk appeared on Lita’s radio show. According to those close to the couple, they are no longer traveling together and Phoenix has dropped them from Twitter. I honestly do not understand what it is about Lita that cause men to fall into her abyss unless it is simply because it is readily available…allegedly.
--Do not forget this weekend is the Hoosier Pro Wrestling show in Columbus, IN at the Bartholomew County Fairgrounds featuring a loser parts with their hair tag team match between Sign Guy/”Diceman” Ronnie Vegas and Donny Idol/Nick “U-Gene” Dinsmore. The show will benefit the Fireman’s Cheer Fund which gathers toys and clothes for less fortunate children. Promoter Jerry Wilson asks everyone to bring a toy to the show for a great cause. HPW, the best wrestling since Bruiser…
--Another Friend of the Show, WAR Wrestling will be holding “Fansgiving” on November 26 at the UAW Hall in Lima, OH and it will be a fundraiser for the West Ohio Food Bank. WAR Wrestling asks for three canned goods for the price of general admission for this worthy cause. The semi-finals for the WAR Tag Team Championship should be great but the show stealer could be the cage match for the WAR Wrestling Championship between Apollo Starr and Kaden Assad.
--The World Wrestling Coalition comes to the Municipal Building in Aberdeen, OH on November 12 with the 2nd Annual Unbreakable Tournament.
