We've covered the first five WrestleMania events in the flashback series, now it's time to head to Toronto for an iconic Champion vs. Champion match at WrestleMania VI at the SkyDome.
One of the shortest matches in WrestleMania history belongs to the Hart Foundation, Bret Hart and Jim Neidhart. At WrestleMania VI, they made a statement by embarrassing The Bolsheviks. Nikolai Volkoff and Boris Zhukov came to the ring and performed their prematch ritual of having everybody stand for the playing of the Soviet national anthem.
But just seconds into it, the Hart Foundation decided they'd had enough and jumped the duo while they were singing. Neidhart disposed of Volkoff, while Bret quickly went after Zhukov. A mere 19 seconds into the match, they hit their Hart Attack finisher and Bret pinned Zhukov to win the match and earn a shot at Demolition and the WWF Tag Team Championships
WrestleMania VI also saw the first loss handed down to Mr. Perfect. Being led to the ring by The Genius, Perfect was set to face off against Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake in a match that was set to wrap up a recent feud between the two.
During the match, The Genius got involved when he jumped onto the apron. He left his signature metal scrolls on the mat, which Perfect used to hit Brutus in the head. But it wasn't enough to put him down. Later in the match, Brutus grabbed Perfect by the legs and hit a slingshot to send him face-first into the ringpost. Brutus made the cover and picked up the win. After the match, The Genius tried to sneak out of the ringside area, but Brutus caught him and dragged him back to the ring, where he cut Genius' hair.
The headlining match at WrestleMania featured the WWF Champion Hulk Hogan facing off against Intercontinental Champion The Ultimate Warrior in a title-for-title match. The two most popular superstars at the time battled for supremacy in the company. This is a match that is still talked about to this day, as both Warrior and Hogan wore each other out and entertained a crowd that broke the SkyDome attendance record.
In the end, it was the Warrior that was declared victorious. He pinned Hogan after hitting the gorilla press slam and big splash. The fans in SkyDome erupted as the Warrior stood tall with both titles. After the match, WWF President Jack Tunney stated that he could not in good consciousness sanction a rematch between two, although it ranks as one of the top WrestleMania matches in history.
As a comical little side note, three future stars were in attendance at this event. Lance Storm, and future multi-time WWE Tag Team Champions Edge and Christian were all at the SkydDome for the event.

- Jim Duggan def. Dino Bravo (with Jimmy Hart and Earthquake)
- Ted DiBiase (with Virgil) def. Jake Roberts by count-out to retain the Million Dollar Championship
- The Big Boss Man def. Akeem (with Slick)
- Rick Rude (with Bobby Heenan) def. Jimmy Snuka
- WWF Intercontintal Champion Ultimate Warrior def. WWF Champion Hulk Hogan in a title-for-title match to become champion
