Wrestlemania 29: The Rock vs. John Cena rematch is "Greatness vs. Redemption"

WWE posted an online video via their youtube page today which focused on the rematch between John Cena and the Rock for the WWE Championship at Wrestlemania 29. The video originally aired last night on WWE RAW which was was an odd episode as just four weeks out from WM29, neither Cena or Rock appeared on the TV show live. You can watch this video on this page below.

This Rock vs. Cena II video is well crafted with a poignant soundtrack, and lays out a story of John Cena facing challenges both inside and outside the ring after losing his “Once in a Lifetime” match to the Rock at Wrestlemania 28 and his road back to ‘redemption’. This rematch for Wrestlemania 29 is titled “Greatness vs. Redemption” and is being used on several marketing posters for the mega-event which airs live on Pay Per View on Sunday, April 7th.

One of the more controversial parts of the video is WWE acknowledging Cena’s real life divorce from his wife in 2012. Though it’s quickly noted in the video along with all of the in-ring failures he endured in 2012, Cena’s divorce is a real life issue injected into his current wrestling life. It will be interesting to see how WWE keeps that topic a part of the feud between Cena and the reigning WWE Champion the Rock.

WWE fans have been giving this current rematch story a lot of mixed reviews so far. Fight Sports Examiner Rick Rockwell has been ringing the bell of the fans who feel “once in a lifetime” was once enough for this Wrestlemania main event. What do you think of Rock vs. Cena II?
