WrestleMania 29 is shaping up to be a major letdown

Wrestling fans, more details are coming to light on a few potential undercard matches for WWE's WrestleMania extravaganza. Unfortunately, these potential matches further add to the rising level of disappointment that many fans and critics are developing for WM 29. According to February 28th report by F4Wonline.com, the WWE is seriously discussing the following two undercard matches for Mania:

  • Chris Jericho vs. Mark Henry
  • Sheamus vs. Wade Barrett

These two rumored undercard matches are in addition to the following matches (click on link for more details):

In total, the potential WM 29 PPV lineup would have been exciting if it was 2012 again. Cena and The Rock already had their "historical" bout that was supposed to be "once in a lifetime". Yet, now we get the same main event as WM 28, and with The Rock rumored to be heading out of the country for another film right after Mania, nobody believes he will win.

CM Punk vs. Undertaker has about as much excitement as the opening match on SmackDown. Nobody thinks that Punk will win. The only match of the 3 that has some intrigue, although not much, is Lesnar vs. HHH. However, HHH is not the draw he used to be and anything other than Lesnar winning would be pointless.

Ultimately, the 3 big matches are letdowns and the undercard has no chance of saving them. Henry vs. Jericho does nothing for either wrestler and we've already seen enough of Barrett vs. Sheamus. The WWE is in serious trouble here if they continue down this path.
