Wrestlemania 28 News: Shaquille O'Neal vs. The Big Show is "not 100%"

On this past Sunday's episode of Live Audio Wrestling, Wrestling Observer Newsletter editor Dave Meltzer spoke about their being a "snag" with the long-rumored match between NBA great Shaquille O'Neal and the Big Show at Wrestlemania 28 in Miami, FL.

According to Meltzer, the match is "not 100%" due to the situation changing with the previously planned April 1st launch date of the WWE Network cable channel, which is the same day as Wrestlemania 28 on Pay Per View. WWE officials were hoping to gain as much attention as possible with O'Neal for Wrestlemania with a rollover effect hitting the new all WWE channel at the same time. Since the  launch of WWE Network was pushed back to late 2012, there is now some reluctance on bringing in such a highly priced celebrity in Shaquille O'Neal for Wrestlemania which already the most costly WWE production of the year. The talks between Shaq and WWE have been going on for months for the but in the video posted on the left, shows that their is definitely hesitation on WWE's part to pull the trigger and bring in Shaq-Fu for 'Mania.

Another odd part of the proposed match is that current status of Shaq's opponent, the Big Show who many assumed would be play the role of the 'heel' villain in the match. Apparently according to Meltzer, the 450lb Big Show would retain his 'good guy' status and battle the NBA All-Star in a 'Giant vs. Giant' match-up.

What do YOU think of Shaquille O'Neal taking off his sneakers and lacing up wrestling boots for Wrestlemania 28? If Shaq does wrestle the Big Show, can he win the match? Post your thoughts below in the comment box.
