Finals week is finally over! Here are a few things to do before you abandon the laptop and textbooks to go home for the holidays.
Check your grades: Professors are humans and they make mistakes. Make sure that the grade posted on your transcript is an accurate reflection of the work done in class and on the final. If there was extra credit available that had a chance of boosting your grade even a little, submit it.
Secure classes you need for the spring semester: Talk to your adviser or department chair to find out when your required courses are offered. Schedule accordingly so that you are on track for graduation.
Juniors, start thinking about internships: You will have to secure an internship in your major before graduation. The early you do it, the better your experience will be. A great site to browse internships is www.internships.com.
Seniors, start your grad school applications: If you are planning to attend grad school you should already know where and how to apply. Get busy, the earlier you apply the better your chances of acceptance and incentives.
