WR Jacoby Jones signs new contract with the Baltimore Ravens

Finally, some good news out of Baltimore’s football franchise! On March 12, the Bleacher Report announced that No. 12, Jacoby Jones, is no longer an unrestricted free agent but a Raven once again. The very popular wide receiver has just inked a new, four-year contract with the Ravens.

For those of you who may not know Jacoby Jones by name, he’s the guy that made that spectacular 108-yard run during 2013’s Super Bowl. The Baltimore Ravens won that Super Bowl by a score of 34-31.

Sadly, Jones didn't have quite as good a season this past year. He was injured in Week 1 and got involved in some off-season trouble with a stripper. Seems like the Ravens players don’t do too well in the off-season.

But Jacoby Jones is officially back to the delight of his fans. This new contract also reunites him with his former head coach from the Houston Texans, Gary Kubiak, now the Ravens’ offensive coordinator. Kubiak is just as happy as Jones.

I've got a great relationship with Jacoby. I don't want to say I was like a father figure to him, but he was like one of my children. We went through Jacoby's early career, where he was growing not only as a player, but as a man. I can tell you this: I'm so proud of him.

“I called him right after [Ravens] won the Super Bowl. I'm so proud of the man he's become, as well as the player. I look forward to seeing him.”

Jacoby Jones is also known for competing on Season 16 of “Dancing With the Stars.” Jacoby came in third with pro dance partner Karina Smirnoff.
