WPMI-TV's 'unique' perspectives on Olympic games

Kristina Zverjako of WPMI-TV talked about her Internet communications with relatives and friends of hers from Russia concerning the 22nd winter Olympic games in Sochi, Russia during WPMI-TV's local news programs at 6:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. on Friday, February 7th (the news program at 6:30 p.m. was broadcast by WPMI-TV's companion station* WJTC-TV while WPMI-TV was broadcasting network programming about the Olympic games). She also talked about a local gymnastics instructor who was a gymnast for the 21st summer Olympic games in Seoul, South Korea in 1988, and originally part of the former Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (the USSR)** like herself (she was born in the republic of Estonia; he was born in the republic of Kazakhstan) since he appeared in a report WPMI-TV originally broadcast this past Thursday.

*WPMI-TV and WJTC-TV are members of the same company, the Sinclair Broadcast Group
