The news presenters also encouraged their audiences to participate in this meeting by posting their comments and questions about gun control on the World Wide Web site Twitter with the hashtag "#YourVoiceYourFuture"
While the news presenters for WPMI-TV were promoting the plans for the meeting, they referred to WEAR-TV as their "sister station" due to the Sinclair Broadcast Group owning the broadcast assets of both stations except for the broadcast license for WPMI-TV (Deerfield Media, Inc. owned the broadcast licenses for WPMI-TV).
